Dr. Emina Vallius

In 2017, Dr. Emina moved to the eastside from Finland where she has a background in general dentistry, she later spent another 2 years to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington. Dr. Emina's diverse expertise makes her a stellar addition to our team of female dental leaders.Dr. Vallius is also fluent in Finnish, Serbian/Croatian, Bosnian, and Swedish.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Vallius was drawn to dentistry as it seamlessly combines her love for science, art, and interpersonal connections. Every smile she crafts underscores the profound influence on a person's self-confidence and overall well-being. With a natural inclination for problem-solving, she revels in partnering with patients to devise the best care plan, and finds immense satisfaction in seeing them depart with bright smiles.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Vallius pursued her dental doctorate at University of Oulu in Finland. Soon after, she relocated to the US with her family and went to the University of Washington to obtain her doctorate in dental surgery for the second time to practice in Washington state. Today, she is a member of the following dental organizations:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?


Dr. Emina Vallius calls Kirkland home, where she lives with her husband and two sons. She relishes outdoor activities, especially strolls in parks, and has a penchant for homemade Bosnian and Finnish dishes. As her sons have grown, skiing has become a cherished family winter tradition.
